He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God? [Micah 6:8]
I think the above verse is the most outstanding verse in the whole book of Micah because it is the answer to many of us asking what God requires of us.
Matthew Henry commented that “The good which God requires of us is, not the paying a price for the pardon of sin and acceptance with God, but love to himself“.
For the 3 moral duties mentioned, Pulpit Commentary explains that to do justice is to act impartially, and to love kindness is to treat others with loving kindness; and Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Bible Commentary explains “To walk with God implies constant prayer and watchfulness, familiar yet humble converse with God“.
