Mary was on her way home with her son, Johnny. Mary was coughing but she did not intend to consult a doctor as she wanted to save the money. When they walked past the grocery store, Johnny asked for permission to buy sweets. Mary was annoyed. She wanted to get home fast so that she could rest after finishing some housework. And she did not like Johnny to spend money on sweets.
“Buy only 1 packet”, she said, half-coughing, as she handed him a dollar note.
A few minutes later, Johnny was out.
“What did you buy, son? And how much did it cost?”
With his small hands, Johnny handed her a packet of cough drops.
