The Song of Songs, which is Solomon’s. [Song of Solomon 1:1]
Among the 1005 songs King Solomon wrote (see 1 Kings 4:32), only one is preserved for us in the bible, and it is introduced as the song of songs. This implies that it is the most excellent song among all the songs King Solomon had written. We see in this song the affection between the bridegroom and his bride. Many commentaries agree that the bridegroom represents Christ, and the bride represents the Church. As such we can also view this song as a love song from Christ to us.
