The priestly blessing

The book of Numbers, the 4th book of the Torah, contains an account of the first census of Israel, some moral and ceremonial laws, and the wandering in the wilderness. This book also records the words the priests ought to say to the people to bless them, also known as the priestly blessing.

Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, ‘Thus you shall bless the sons of Israel. You shall say to them:

The LORD bless you, and keep you;

The LORD make His face shine on you, And be gracious to you;

The LORD lift up His countenance on you, And give you peace.’

“So they shall invoke My name on the sons of Israel, and I then will bless them.” [Numbers 6:22-27]

Though we may not be biologically a Jew, I believe we, as children of God, can still claim this blessing. Why not give a word of blessing to a loved one today?
