When I first joined a cell group, I was taught that the cell group gathering is run according to 4w in the following order:
- Welcome. Welcoming one another, especially newcomers. If time allowed, there might be ice-breakers.
- Worship. The group would sing songs of worship the worship leader had picked, there would be a guitarist.
- Word. The leader would either share with us a passage from the bible, or revise the sermon the pastor preached recently.
- Warfare. We would share our prayer requests and pray for one another.
Up to now, I still think this is a very good framework. But to better reflect the situation on the ground, there should be another w – wait, wait for latecomers.
